Biography
Britt Crisp is an award-winning actress and filmmaker from the southern states of Texas and Georgia. She began her acting training under the mentorship of Dr. George Mengert at the age of 10 in Atlanta, and subsequently spent the majority of her adolescent years in dozens of stage productions both professionally and recreationally through the Fabrefaction Theatre Company training program. Britt attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she chose to attend the Los Angeles location in order to pursue Film and Television training. Since graduating from the Academy, Britt Crisp has been in multiple theatrical productions at the Loft Ensemble Theatre, as well as many award-winning Short and Feature Films. She recently won "Best Actress" for her leading improvised performance at the SYS Film Festival in the feature film: "Kyle's Pocket Dial".
Britt Crisp has also taken an interest in filmmaking and production. Through her new production company, The Underdog Circus, Britt has created her first short film “Kidd”; a Period Western which has recently been submitted into the Film Festival circuit. "Kidd" follows the beginning of a young outlaw's story as she is forced to make a difficult decision by the local Sheriff. Through facing the struggle of adversity and being an unconventional woman, her previous choices have finally stacked and caught up to her. Follow for updates as we hear about acceptances. Britt is in the process of creating more scripts/short films that showcase herself and her talented friends. The goal is to create quality shorts that NEED to be told, by the perspective of performers lesser known.
When she isn’t acting, Britt enjoys old (and all) movies, video games, and being home with her small, chosen family in Los Angeles. She has also picked up boxing and hiking, which she enjoys with her furry best friend, Dolly, who the Underdog Circus logo is designed after.
